Australia is grappling with huge bushfires fuelled by record-breaking temperatures and months of extreme drought.

Within the worst-affected state, New South Wales, fires have burned greater than four million hectares (40,000 sq km or 9.9 million acres) destroying greater than 1,300 homes and forcing 1000’s to hunt shelter elsewhere.

Throughout the nation, 20 folks have died – together with three volunteer firefighters – with a lot of the casualties in New South Wales.
