The EU has agreed to increase Brexit till 31 January 2020, in response to a tweet from the European Council president.

Donald Tusk mentioned the bloc would enable for a so-called “flextension” – which means the UK might go away earlier than the deadline if a deal was accredited by Parliament.

It comes as MPs put together to vote on proposals by Boris Johnson for an early basic election on 12 December.
