Iran launches 'revenge' rocket assaults at US troops in Iraq


Iran has launched “tens” of missiles at Iraq’s Ain Assad air base housing US troops following the killing of the nation’s high common.

Iranian state TV described the assaults as Tehran’s revenge operation over the killing of Common Qassem Soleimani.

It stated the missiles have been fired by Tehran’s Revolutionary Guard aerospace division and the operation was named “Marytr Soleimani”.

A White Home spokesperson stated: “The President has been briefed and is monitoring the state of affairs carefully and consulting together with his nationwide safety group.”
