Hundreds of protesters demonstrated in Beirut on Sunday to name out the political system and way of life in Lebanon.

The army could be seen arriving to the protests in armoured autos, the place they met protesters on the streets of Beirut. After some small clashes the army was in a position to clear the road.

Boshraa, one of many protesters, defined her causes for attending, saying: “There aren’t any jobs, there’s nothing, and our rights as Lebanese residents don’t grant us issues which can be thought-about rights in Europe, which can be necessary for the state to supply.’’

Whereas one other mentioned “this sit-in is as a result of sufficient is sufficient. We aren’t slaves.”

Many among the many crowd donned yellow vests paying homage to the protests which began in France in November and have since unfold to different international locations.
