Nigeria Police Fireplace Weapons, Beat Protesters, Throughout Shi'ite Protest in Capital
Police fired weapons and teargas in a conflict with a protesting Shiite Muslim group in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, Thursday, July 11.
Witnesses stated they heard gunshots and one noticed policemen hearth their weapons in an effort to disperse tons of of people that had gathered outdoors authorities buildings to demand the discharge of their chief.
The confrontation comes two days after clashes with police left at the least two lifeless and 40 protesters in police custody. (Reuters)
