The Phone Call

How Do We Get Here?

Measure Safety Activities

There is no better way to motivate human beings to do things than to determine those things and provide positive effects to the “doers.” There is no puzzle that measurement motivates. Quickly look at my watch whenever someone walks into an appointment late, and I mention this being late is being tested; I do not doubt that time always keeping will improve with a group of mankind who believe consequences you can do if they do the specific pastime that is being measured. The strength of this is well-established. So opt for those things that make it better and start to measure often the performance of those activities.

Many experts have00 our activities that create all of our safety cultures. In addition to documentation, paper is only an activator and, in some cases, the consequence of those behaviors. Be the person who does the pastime that makes it safe. Wondering about a company for the 7th time frame if they have a “CEO closed safety policy” is a waste of your time and information.

Audits that look at stuff and processes will get you safer, but repeating the same audit and never raising the line to a higher level of excellence dooms your safety culture to help mediocrity. Strive for excellence… they have highly motivating!
