South Africa shuts embassy in Nigeria after reprisal assaults
South Africa has briefly shut down its embassy in Nigeria after a sequence of reprisal assaults on South African companies there.
Protesters gathered to voice their anger at international companies being attacked within the South African cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria.
South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa says not less than 10 individuals have been killed since Sunday, and has labelled the violence as “xenophobic”.
South Africa has numerous financial pursuits and companies in Nigeria, lots of which at the moment are below police safety.
