Details about “Spanx Leggings Review” –

Before we get to our Spanx leggings review, let me show you what is Spanx, and its origin…

Spanx is a popular brand of women’s shapewear, but you probably already knew that. What you may not realize is that the firm produces more than simply underwear that purports to pull you in.

Sara Blakely, the company’s creator, first introduced the footless, body-shaping pantyhose in 2000. After Oprah included the incredibly comfortable shapewear on her famous “Favorite Things” list, the garment soon became a best-seller.

Other well-known celebrities that have endorsed Spanx include actress Sarah Hyland, Eva Longoria, and Gwenyth Paltrow. Spanx began selling intimate apparel in the mid-2000s, then debuted a line at Target, and the rest is history.

The well-known company now sells jeans, bras, tops, jackets, and even men’s underwear, undershirts, and socks. Of course, there are the now-legendary faux-leather leggings.

Spanx leggings review: What are these?

The Faux-Leather Leggings from Spanx claim to “keep you ultra-comfortable” while still providing a “flat gut” and a “beautiful butt.” Those are strong promises, but Spanx can produce a pair of figure-slimming leggings.

Spanx leggings reviews agree that the leggings are made of a few different materials. The leggings’ body is comprised of 87 percent nylon and 13 percent spandex/elastane, giving them a smooth and elastic yet firm feel.

The “Power Waistband,” which is where the shaping magic happens, is comprised of 80% polyester and 20% Spandex/elastane.

Spanx leggings review: how do they fit?

These leggings are available from Spanx in normal and petite lengths, as well as a range of inclusive sizes ranging from extra small to 3X. On a good day, I’m around 5 feet 3 inches tall, and finding bottoms that fit longitudinally may be difficult.

My leggings hit just at the base of my ankle because Spanx offers tiny size in this product (recommended for anybody under 5-foot-4).

The leggings, on the other hand, are a little undersized. I would have typically bought a medium based on the size chart, but after reading numerous customer feedback, I opted to go up one size too big and am pleased I did.

A medium is a size 6-8 on the Spanx leggings size chart, and a large is a size 10-12 on the Spanx leggings size chart. (For comparison, I weigh 150 pounds and wear a size 8 in pants.)

On the inside, the material is like that of sports leggings that you most likely have in your closet. It feels cool and pleasant to the touch, like moisture-wicking cloth. Naturally, as the product name implies, the leggings are not made of genuine leather.

Instead, they’re covered in a black shine to create the appearance of leather. So, what’s the deal with phony leather? It’s typically less expensive — and more comfortable as trousers — than actual leather, and no animals were hurt in the production of the leggings.

FAQ

How to wash the leggings?

Unlike real leather, you can throw the leggings in the washing machine for a quick clean. To assist protect the quality of the leggings, Spanx suggests turning them inside out before washing so that the leather-like covering isn’t revealed.

Spanx leggings reviews agree that the care instructions include washing them in cool water and drying them flat. While I try to air dry the leggings, they have occasionally found their way into the dryer with other clothes (hey, it happens).
I haven’t observed any difference in the quality or shine of the clothes after using the dryer. However, because these leggings are a little costly, I should clean them according to the care label.
