Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as Maharashtra’s new Chief Minister on Thursday night on the Shivaji Park in Mumbai, the place his father Bal Thackeray had addressed his first Dussehra rally to announce the start of the Shiv Sena in 1966. Six extra ministers have been sworn in by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari because the Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Celebration (NCP)-Congress alliance, or Maha Vikas Aghadi, formally took energy.
