Vietnam island travel experience

How did I spend 20 days backpacking in Vietnam?

I went to Saigon and then met some local friends through the Vietnam travel forum. They help me with information about public transport such as sleeper buses and how to move in Vietnam.

The first 2 days I stayed in District 5 Saigon because it is located in the city center, so it is convenient for eating and playing.

I like the street food of Saigon very much and according to many foreign visitors to Vietnam, they think that street food is a specialty of Saigon.

I especially like the Vietnamese banh mi. It’s not like a hamburger because the crust is crispy and the sauce is rich.

In the morning, Saigon is very busy with traffic. The bustling atmosphere is a prominent feature of Saigon. And Saigon is associated with the legendary Vietnamese black coffee, you should try it once if you have the opportunity.

In Saigon, there are a few attractions that I should check-in. Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market are the top 2 recommended places.

it has historical architecture and has many memories of a Saigon before 1975.

Da Nang is known as the livable city of Vietnam.

Then I moved to Danang which is the second place I want to go. Because Da Nang is known as the livable city of Vietnam.

From Saigon to Da Nang, there are many cheap flights. Flight quality is also quite satisfactory, but some airlines often delay flights.

Another experience to Da Nang is to find out hotel information. The best option is a hotel near the beach and motorbike rental. Because you will not need to go too far to go to My Khe beach and having a motorbike will be more convenient for commuting. The price of motorbike rental in Da Nang is 5-6$/day.

Some places are recommended to visit such as: mỸ Khe beach, Pham Van Dong park, Ba Na hill. And spend a day visiting Hoi An with many ancient historical sites very attractive.

Hue which was the last capital of Vietnam’s royal dynasty

Then I went to Hue which was the last capital of Vietnam’s royal dynasty. In Hue feel the peace and ancient. The pace of life is slow and the people seem normal.

Hue also has many tombs of the king, visit the palace with the introduction of the guide at the attraction.

If you come to Hue, you should eat beef noodle soup and Hue tea.

Visit the island in Kien Giang.

Kien Giang also has the very famous Phu Quoc island, but I prefer to experience the unspoiled island. for fresh nature, beautiful sea views and access to more fishermen. Coming to Nam Du island, I also enjoyed fishing and night squid fishing with fishermen. In Nam Du island, there are beautiful natural corals. The people on the island are gentle and cheerful. The cost is also quite cheap.
